President’s Note

Prof. Fridlender, president HACShalom and welcome to Campus Strauss!

I am honored to lead an institute of learning that has succeeded within a short period of time to make academic studies accessible to the Haredi community, and provide  Haredi students with the knowledge and skills to successfully integrate into the workforce. Campus Strauss is the Haredi branch of Hadassah Academic College. Hadassah Academic College pioneered Campus Strauss as part of the “Machar” initiative of the Israel Council for Higher Education to offer academic studies to the Haredi community.

By providing educational opportunities to the Haredi community, our students will graduate to pursue promising careers, and in doing so, ensure a better, stronger future for themselves, their families, their community, and all Israel.  We further believe that the Campus can act as a bridge of understanding and foster mutual respect and trust between religious and non-religious Israelis.

Campus Strauss is managed by the founders of Lomda who bring many years of experience and success in professional training for the Haredi community. This leadership has earned the confidence of the Haredi community by their understanding and sensitivity to the needs of the community.

Indeed, Campus Strauss offers a high level of academic studies, marked by a commitment to the Haredi community and the Haredi lifestyle and without compromising the academic levels provided to all Hadassah Academic College students.

The working partnership with Hadassah Academic College has been marked by true understanding and full cooperation.   There is a positive interaction between the faculty and students and an atmosphere of mutual respect.

After only three years of its establishment, Campus Strauss is today the largest Haredi academic framework in Israel, comprising 54% of the total student population in such frameworks.  I am confident that we are only at the beginning as we continue with this blessed cooperation for the benefit of the Haredi community and Israeli society.
